The University of Wisconsin System of higher education in the state of Wisconsin consists of 13 four year institutions and 13 two year colleges. UW system is one of the largest in the US with over 150,000 students enrolled annually.

University of Wisconsin System Parkside is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). University of Wisconsin Parkside School of Business and Economics is accredited by Association of Advanced Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB). The Chemistry degree program is approved by the American Chemical Society (ACS).
